Elegance on Hanover began as ‘Elegant Nails’ nearly 30 years ago specialising in acrylic nails – at that time the only nail salon in Dunedin. Soon after we were the first to introduce sunbeds to our range of services.
In 1993 our present owner, Vicki Hastie, bought the business adding an extensive range of beauty therapy services. Wanting to offer facial treatments and peels to clients, the Ultraceuticals skincare range was the obvious choice, also adding the Skin Deep product range to offer natural Manuka Honey facials and body treatment alternatives.
In 2006 ‘Elegant Nails’ was engulfed in fire leaving nothing unscathed leading to a complete rebuilding of the salon. A new name was needed to reflect our updated premises, giving us the ‘Elegance on Hanover’ identity we enjoy today.
The introduction of the L.H.E (Light Heat Energy) service shortly after added another dimension to our salon, offering advanced skin rejuvenation and hair removal. An evolution of the I.P.L system, L.H.E has the highest overall rating for safety in the industry and no side effects leaving no question that this was the machine for us. Elegance on Hanover is the only salon in Dunedin offering the L.H.E system.
